IEIC was born out of the conviction that it is India’s time to shine on the global stage. We believe that with the right kind of support, Indian developers and tech talent can put the Indian interactive entertainment industry on the global map. Our vision is to create a community-based platform to facilitate growth and innovation within the interactive media, tech and entertainment ecosystem.
Our members are from dynamic spheres comprising investors, developers, digital payment companies, tech platforms, policy and legal advocacy. Through our peer-to-peer community-based approach we aim to link industry members with each other to foster conversations, partnerships and engender opportunities within the industry.
We are a community-driven platform, mobilising the ecosystem to foster innovation at the intersection of technology and interactive entertainment. Our mission is to establish India as the foremost global destination for interactive entertainment excellence. Our network provides access to opportunities like partnering with government, academia, organisations of all scale and sizes in the interactive entertainment sector, investors, services providers to streamline and create access to opportunities.
At IEIC, our aim is not to be just an observer, but we strive to be an active contributor to shaping the tech landscape in India to ensure that it is open, safe, trusted and accountable. Our membership program is designed to co-create and encourage sharing of resources and knowledge between our members to facilitate the overall growth and development of the interactive entertainment industry.

Shri Rohit Kumar Singh is a former Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1989 batch (Rajasthan Cadre) who served as the Secretary of the Department of Consumer Affairs, Government of India. Prior to this, he worked in senior roles across departments in Government of India and Government of Rajasthan. He made significant contributions to consumer protection in India. Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), which addresses violations of consumer rights, unfair trade practices, and misleading advertisements. He holds Masters from Harvard Kennedy School and Clarkson University and B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University).
Abhishek Malhotra is a member of the Bar Councils of Delhi and California. He has 25 years of experience in representing clients in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors. His primary areas of expertise include intellectual property, commercial dispute resolution, and policy and regulatory advisory. He has advised clients in minimizing legal risks and devising strategies for safeguarding against civil and criminal liability. Mr Malhotra is a principal advisor on various policy think tanks and is regularly invited to speak on emerging issues and regulatory changes in the TMT space, including the recent Telecommunications Bill, Information Technology Rules, 2022, Data Protection Bill, Web 3.0 policy concerns, Telemedicine Guidelines, 2020. He is recognized as the “go to” professional for issues across broadcasting, music, satellite communications, online gaming and e-sports.
